What is a Lemon?
A “Lemon” is a faulty vehicle still covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. A Lemon typically has been in for repair with the dealership too many times or for too many days, and the dealer is having trouble repairing the vehicle.
What do I get if I have a Lemon?
You have a right to a “repurchase” or replacement vehicle. Most people choose a repurchase, which means you get a refund of all or most of your money. You do not pay ANY attorney’s fees.Does it matter if I leased or purchased?
No. The Lemon Law applies to leased, purchased, and financed vehicles. We can still make the manufacturer “repurchase” your vehicle even if it’s a lease.Is there a time limit to file a claim?
Yes, claims should generally be filed within four years from the date you first realized the vehicle might be a lemon.
